FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 15, 2014
Makawao, Maui, Hawaii
The Fall Harvest Festival, a fundraiser for Haku Baldwin Center’s non-profit therapeutic programs, has been cancelled. Due to the approach of Tropical Storm Ana (predicted to upgrade to a hurricane later today) and the potential for severe weather to impact the islands this weekend, the center is switching focus from event planning to emergency preparations. There are no plans to reschedule the event at this time.
The festival was scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 19, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at 444 Makawao Avenue. Event activities included a full day of family-friendly activities: pony rides, petting zoo, silent auction, haunted house, food trucks and vendors, craft fair, farmer’s market, keiki coloring club, and more. Proceeds from this annual event support therapeutic programs for children with special needs, military veterans, seniors, and patients of all ages.
Questions can be directed to our email address. Updates for future events will be posted on hakubaldwincenter.org and the center’s Facebook page.
Haku Baldwin Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that fosters therapeutic partnerships between people and animals, which we believe promotes the growth and development of healing relationships among all living beings. http://
