New Wheelchair Lift System for HBC’s Therapeutic Riding Program

It has been an exciting week at Haku Baldwin Center as we celebrate the installation of our SureHands® body support lift system for the Therapeutic Riding Program. This lift operates on a ceiling track system installed above our existing wheelchair mounting ramp, and will help us to better accommodate a smoother, safer, and more efficient mounting experience for our riders in wheelchairs.

Thank you to Craig Coogan, owner of Lift & Transfer Specialists, Inc., who flew in this week to install the lift system himself and provide training for our staff. It was a pleasure to have Craig and his wife Linda join us, and we appreciate their dedication to improving the quality of life for children and adults with special needs. We are thrilled to have such an important piece of equipment available for our program participants and look forward to sharing the benefits of therapeutic riding to many more happy riders in years to come.
