Haku Baldwin Center is proud to offer a no-cost program to military service members. We thank each and every one of you for your service to our country.
The Horsemanship for Veterans Program is open to all U.S. military service members, including active duty, disabled, and retired veterans. Men and women of all ages are encouraged to apply. We will do our best to accommodate any level of disability or ailment, and offer both mounted and unmounted sessions.
If you have questions or concerns about whether this program would work for you or your loved one, please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information. New applications are welcomed year round.
- No horse experience required.
- Mounted and unmounted sessions available.
- Absolutely no cost to veterans.
- Learn grooming, groundwork, and natural horsemanship skills.
- If you have horse experience, we encourage you to apply and reconnect with our gentle horses in a safe, private environment.
- Six weekly sessions at 40 minutes each, with the opportunity to continue on, as space allows.
- Sessions run on Thursday mornings at our facility in Makawao, by appointment only.
