Facility and Boarding

With sweeping views of Haleakalā, our facility is located on 33+ picturesque acres in upcountry Makawao on the island of Maui, Hawai’i. Haku Baldwin Center has three arenas: one covered indoor, one full-sized stone-dust outdoor, and one full-sized grass outdoor. A fenced round pen and various grass warm-up areas make for a rider and instructor’s dream space. Throughout the year, we host various special events, horse shows, and clinics that support the community, and our nonprofit organization provides various equine-assisted services for people in need.

Approximately 20-25 horses reside on the property, most living their best lives in herds out on pasture. Our dedicated and experienced team provides the highest quality of care to promote optimal health and well-being. We’re conveniently located next to the Makawao Veterinary Clinic, which houses a state-of-the-art facility and provides comprehensive care options from a range of equine veterinarians.
Various boarding options are available to the general public at Haku Baldwin Center. There is a waiting list for boarding, so we recommend inquiring early, especially if you plan to ship your horse from the U.S. mainland or outer islands.
